According to , the International Skating Union (ISU) has not taken the decision to move any of the Grand Prix series stops from British Sheffield as the union currently has no other proposals to host the tournament.
Earlier, reported that the scenes transferred from Russia and China will be given to Finland and the UK. Later, the ISU confirmed this information – in the calendar published a few days earlier, the host cities for the stages were Espoo and Sheffield. However, the ISU then removed Sheffield from the schedule while keeping Espoo.
According to our information, the ISU has not canceled the decision to hold the stage in Sheffield. Since the postponement of the tournament from China, the union has received no detailed proposals to host the competition from anyone other than the UK. Earlier, reported that the ISU hoped for help from the new president, Kim Jae-yeol, regarding the stage’s potential transfer to South Korea, but it was not possible.
Initially, the final decision on the division of participants into stages, as well as the approval of all host cities, was on the July 14 schedule. A source said an extra weekend had taken place at the ISU office which resulted in the deadline being moved. According to the latest information, the commission for the distribution of skaters to the Grand Prix stages held a meeting last Friday.
