sdy left Monte

Together with the team, Victor reached the quarterfinals of BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 and won a number of tournaments

Ukrainian esports organization Monte announced the termination of cooperation with Viktor “sdy” Orudzhev. The parties decided not to renew the contract by mutual agreement.

“Today the legend Monte, the player with whom we experienced the brightest moments in the history of the organization, is leaving our squad – Viktor Orudzhev. The contract was not renewed by agreement of the parties, so he becomes a free agent. Thanks to Victor for his professionalism and dedication to the game. Your game, catchphrases and memes remain in our hearts forever. We will meet in the final of the Major,” Monte said in a statement.

“Every beginning has its end, after every end there is a new beginning. First of all, I want to thank Monte and each of my teammates, everyone who was involved in this miracle. It so happens that my contract will not be renewed, which means that from today I am a free agent. I will be looking for a new home, I hope it won’t take too much time and very soon I will be able to return to professional games.

I wish the guys inspiration and opportunities; I have only warm feelings and boundless love for everyone. In turn, I can say that I will continue to work with even greater inspiration and confidence. I know that everything is still ahead, I will come to my goal. Glory to Ukraine!”, – stated sdy.

Orujev joined Monte in January 2023. Together with the team, he reached the quarterfinals of BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, took 3-4th place at ESL Pro League Season 18, won ESL Challenger Jönköping and a number of other tournaments.

Last week, Monte failed to make it to PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, having performed unsuccessfully at the European RMR tournament.
