The legend of the First League football will try to make a name for himself in a new field
Former football player Alexander Akimenkoone of the best scorers in history First Leagueofficially appointed assistant head coach of the futsal club Aurora.
Akimenko is 38 years old. He played football for Alchevsk Steel, Helios, Donetsk Metallurg, Zirka, Ingulets and Left Bank. He completed his professional career at the end of 2021.
Alexander played very little at the UPL level, but is a legend of the First League – more than 300 matches and 106 goals scored. In the history of the tournament, he is the third highest scorer, behind only Vadim Plotnikov (118 goals) and Sergei Chuychenko (116).
The capital’s Aurora club is in third place in the current Futsal Extra League after 20 matches, behind Kyiv HIT and Ivano-Frankivsk Hurricane in the table. The head coach of the Authors is Evgeniy Zadorozhny.
