The team of the son of the head of the UAF reached the final of the Professional Development League Cup
Christian Shevchenkoson of the President of the Ukrainian Football Association Andrey Shevchenkoscored a goal in the match Watford U-17 against Burnley U-17 in the semi-final Professional Development League Cup.
Shevchenko opened the scoring midway through the second half. Watford later scored the second goal to win the match 2-0. Shevchenko’s team reached the final, where they await the winner of the pair Crewe Alexandra U-17 – Fleetwood Town U-17.
Christian was born in London in 2006. From an early age he studied at the Chelsea academy, but the Blues did not enter into an agreement with him, after which the player moved to Watford. The center forward played for the U-18 team. In December, 17-year-old Christian made his debut for Watford U-21.
In February, Christian applied for Ukrainian citizenship. Later, the striker joined the reserve squad of the Ukrainian U-19 football team.
