The Spaniards won the first half thanks to an accurate shot from Aitana Bonmati, the best football player of her team’s victorious 2023 World Cup and winner of the Golden Ball.
At the beginning of the second half, Montserrat Tome consolidated their advantage thanks to a goal from Mariona Caldentey. The French women did not make a single accurate shot on their opponents’ goal during the entire match.
