Spain beat France to win the first edition of the Women’s Nations League

The world’s best footballer Bonmati scored the winning goal in the historic final

Spain national team became the champion of the first ever draw Women’s League of Nations. In the final, La Furia Roja convincingly beat France – 2:0.

The Spaniards won the first half thanks to an accurate shot from Aitana Bonmati, the best football player of her team’s victorious 2023 World Cup and winner of the Golden Ball.

At the beginning of the second half, Montserrat Tome consolidated their advantage thanks to a goal from Mariona Caldentey. The French women did not make a single accurate shot on their opponents’ goal during the entire match.

Let us remind you that in the framework of the premiere draw of the League of Nations, the Ukrainian team successfully solved its local task – it defeated the Bulgarian team twice (4:0, 3:0) and retained its place in Division B.
