Young Koumas and Danns scored their debut goals for the Reds’ first team
Liverpool achieved a crushing victory at home over Southampton in the 1/8 finals match FA Cup – 3:0.
Jurgen Klopp fielded a rather experimental squad for the game, taking into account 11 injured players. And it turned out that 18-year-old absolute debutant Lewis Koumas, the son of the famous former football player Jason Koumas (WBA, Wigan, Wales national team), opened the scoring, scoring in his first match for the Reds first team.
In the second half, Koumas was replaced by his peer Jaden Danns, who played for only the third time under Klopp. And he also soon scored his debut goal – he was assisted by Harvey Elliott. The young forward even managed to make doubles – he played on the finishing touch after a high-quality connection from Conor Bradley.
In the quarter finals of the FA Cup, Liverpool will face a classic confrontation with Manchester United.
