Russian figure skater, Olympic champion in women’s singles Anna Shcherbakova named retired Yuzuru Hanyu Legend.
On her social media page, the figure skater posted a photo with Hanyu and left the caption, “Legend.”
Earlier Tuesday at a press conference, the 27-year-old Japanese figure skater announced his retirement and transition to the pros.
Hanyu won Olympic gold medals in 2014 and 2018, and also won World Championship gold twice (2014, 2017).
At the 2022 Olympics in Beijing, the Japanese took fourth place.
