Skaters Anastasia Metelkina And Luka Berulava won the pairs event at the Junior World Championships in Taipei, Taiwan.
At the end of the competition, athletes representing Georgia scored 179.32 points.
Second and third places were taken by US representatives Olivia Flores/Luke Wang (166.89 points) and Naomi Williams/Lachlan Lewer (146.00), respectively.
Metelkina is from the city of Vladimir, and Berulava was born in Moscow. The athletes took their first steps in figure skating in Russia.
On March 1, 2022, the Council of the International Skating Union (ISU) suspended Russian figure skaters from participation in international tournaments.
