Ukrainian riflemen Elena Kostevich And Oleg Omelchuk won gold at European Championship 2024 in 10 meter shooting.
The duo won the mixed air pistol tournament. In the final, the Ukrainians defeated the Austrian duo Silvia Steiner / Rikard Zechmeister with a score of 17:11.
Let us note that another Ukrainian couple competed in the qualifications of the competition. Yulia Isachenko and Viktor Bankin ultimately took 22nd place.
The gold of Kostevich and Omelchuk is the first for Ukraine in the “adult” competitions of the current Euro. Earlier, Elena, together with Yulia Isachenko and Vilena Bevz, won silver in the women’s trio pistol shooting. Viktor Bankin, Pavel Kostylev and Oleg Omelchuk won bronze in similar competitions for men.
Ukrainians also have two gold medals at the junior level of the current competition. The Ukrainian team consisting of Maxim Gimon, Ivan Martynov and Timur Pidgorny won two victories.
