The Ukrainian just lacks gold.
On Friday, March 1st, the final of the World Athletics Championships took place in Glasgow, Scotland.
Ukrainians Yaroslava Maguchikh, the current champion, and Yulia Levchenko took part in the high jump.
Unfortunately, our team’s second figure dropped to a height of 1.84 meters, ultimately taking only ninth place.
All hope was only for Maguchikh, who started at 1.92 meters, gradually increased in height and, even with a “creaking”, was rising.
As a result, Yaroslava competed one-on-one with an athlete from Australia, Nicola Olislagers, where there was a very tough match. Unfortunately, our athlete did not reach the height of 1.99 meters, which is why he won silver.
