Nicola Olislagers from Australia became the champion
Ukrainian athlete Yaroslav Maguchikh won silver in high jump 2024 World Indoor Championshipswhich takes place in Glasgow, Scotland.
In the final part of the competition, Ukraine was represented by two athletes. Yulia Levchenko finished in ninth place, clearing a height of 1.84 m.
Maguchikh managed to clear a height of 1.97 m on her first attempt, and after the performances of all her competitors, she guaranteed herself a medal. Yaroslava failed to clear the 1.99 m mark, while Australian Nicola Olislagers cleared the bar at this height on her third attempt.
Let us remind you that Maguchikh previously won two victories in 2024. At the World Athletics Indoor Tour competition in Cottbus, Germany, Yaroslava set a new season record, and then won the Millrose Games event in New York, America, with a score of 2.00 m.
