Kazakhstan’s Bublik made it to the finals
A scandalous episode occurred in yesterday’s semi-final match of the tournament WTA 1000 V Dubai (UAE) between a “neutral” tennis player Andrey Rublev And Alexander Bublikrepresenting Kazakhstan.
The man without a flag, who occupies the 5th position in the world ranking, shouted at the line judge at the end of a difficult match – he did not count his opponent’s out, and Bublik led 6:5 in the third set. The previous two games ended in tiebreak.
An ATP supervisor appeared on the court and asked Andrey to repeat the words he said to the referee. He didn’t do it. After this, the referee of the match decided to disqualify Rublev for unsportsmanlike behavior. Bublik advanced to the final with a score of 2:1 (6:7, 7:6, 6:5).
In another semi-final, another “neutral” tennis player Daniil Medvedev lost to the Frenchman Hugo Humbert.
