Ukraine won a silver medal in the men’s relay at the 2024 Junior Biathlon World Championships

Ukrainians Stepan Kinash, Bogdan Borkovsky, Sergey Suprun And Vitaly Mandzyn conquered silver medal in the relay race 2024 Junior Biathlon World Championshipswhich takes place in the Estonian Otepää.

The performances of Stepan and Bogdan allowed the Ukrainian team to stay in the top 5. Suprun demonstrated good shooting and led the team into the medal zone. Team leader Mandzyn became the fastest in the final stage. As a result, the blue-yellows, almost a minute behind the champion, the Norwegian team, managed to beat the French team by less than ten seconds.

This medal was the second for Ukraine at the current world championship. Let us remind you that on the last day of winter, Alexandra Merkushina managed to win the mass start-60. Subsequently, Mandzyn stopped one step short of medals in the same discipline, but won his first Small Crystal Globe in his career at the IBU Junior Cup level.

Today in Otepää the final start of the World Cup will also take place – the women’s relay. As part of the Ukrainian national team, Irina Shevchenko, Victoria Khvostenko, Valeria Sheigas and Elena Gorodnaya will run.
