World champion and Olympic silver medalist in pole vault Angelique Sidorova shared how she feels about being a mother.
Sidorova, 32, gave birth to a son in September 2023 and announced her retirement on December 9. A day earlier, World Athletics President Sebastian Coe said Russian athletes would not compete in athletics at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics.
“It’s hard, it’s still just the beginning of the journey, everything is not going well.” I rarely dream because I rarely sleep. A completely different life is hard. The child fell asleep and I jumped in a taxi. Another role, I’m still getting used to it. I have no free time, sometimes I can’t even pick up the phone,” reports Sidorova, correspondent.
This weekend the All-Russian Pole Vault Festival will take place in Moscow.
