Top Rank President: Fury wants to fight Usyk-Joshua winner

However, the promotion company does not want to put pressure on the world champion

President of Top Rank Promotion Company Tod DuBeouf declared that the British heavyweight Tyson Fury wants to fight the winner of the fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua.

“People often ask me about the return of Fury. He didn’t talk about it. He is silent, but soon it will be over. I think the result of the Usyk-Joshua fight will be very important for the entire division, ”said DuBoeuf.

“People think this is Joshua’s last chance. He can’t afford to lose again.”

“We know about Usyk that he is an amazing fighter who left Ukraine at a difficult time to prepare for this fight. He is a world class boxer, but can he master the heavyweight? We will find out the answers to many questions,” the President said.

DuBeouf clarified that the promotional company will in no way pressure Fury to return.

“It will attract headlines and a lot of income, but Tyson himself must be willing to return. He must want it for his peace of mind and legacy in the sport.”

Fury said earlier that he might consider returning to the ring after the second match between Usyk and Joshua. The Briton believes that the fight with the winner will bring a lot of income.

At the same time, Fury kept his previous offer for Joshua. If Anthony wins the rematch, then their fight will be free to fans in the UK, with no pay-per-view PPV.

Recall that Fury announced his retirement after a convincing victory over Dillian Whyte in April. At the same time, the Briton has not yet vacated the WBC championship belt.

The second fight between Usyk and Joshua will take place on August 20 in Saudi Arabia. The fight will be broadcast live on the DAZN streaming platform.

Last fall, Usyk defeated Joshua by unanimous decision to become world heavyweight champion for the first time.
