Ukrainians topped group 2
Ukrainian women’s handball team beat Israel in the 4th round match qualifying stage on European Championship 2024.
Boris Chizhov’s team won the first half with a difference of five goals – 19:14. In the second half of the meeting, the Ukrainians maintained a comfortable advantage and brought the match to victory – 32:28.
This is the second success of Ukraine in the confrontation with Israel in the Euro 2024 selection. On February 29, Chizhov’s team achieved a difficult victory with a score of 28:27. Note that both fights took place in Slovakia.
With 6 points, Ukraine topped Group 2, but Germany (4 points) have two matches in hand. Israel goes without victories and brings up the rear of the quartet.
In the final qualifying matches, Ukraine will play against Germany (April 4) and Slovakia (April 7).
The winners and second places of the groups, as well as the four best teams that will take third places, will qualify for the 2024 European Championship. Qualification, which started on October 11, will end on April 7, 2024.
The final stage of the 2024 European Championship will be held in November-December 2024 in Basel (Switzerland), Innsbruck (Austria) and Debrecen (Hungary).
