Multiple French pole vault champion Margaux Chevrier was seriously injured while competing at the 2024 World Indoor Athletics Championships in Glasgow and was hospitalized.

The 24-year-old was injured while performing a jump and left the arena on a stretcher. As CBC News journalist Devin Gueroux reports on social media, the Frenchwoman was sent to the hospital with a broken leg.

Chevrier is a three-time French champion and has also won two national indoor championships.

The World Athletics Championships in Glasgow end on March 3.
