The French team won the race
Ukrainian biathlon team failed to complete the classic mixed relay in the seventh stage Biathlon World Cup 2023/24 in Norwegian Holmenkollene.
For the first time in history, representatives of the Ukrainian team were removed as round robin from the mixed relay at the World Cup level. This happened in the second of four stages of the race, when leading France beat Ukraine by a lap.
The first to go the distance from Ukraine Irina Petrenko and finished her stage in 16th place. After her the baton took over Anna Krivonos and earned three penalty loops on two shootings. As a result, up to Artem Prima And Taras Lesyuk it didn’t work out – the team was removed from the race before the male part of the team had time to take part in it.
The French team won the mixed relay. Sweden and Norway shared the podium with her.
