Ukrainian women’s team won silver medals in the team competition saber fencingwhich took place as part of the stage World Cup in Athens.
Our country was represented in the capital of Greece Olga Kharlan, Alina Komashchuk, Elena Kravatskaya And Yulia Bakastova.
On the way to the final, Ukrainian saber fencers successively beat the teams of China (45:30), Hungary (45:31) and Bulgaria (45:34). In the decisive confrontation, the first seeded team of the tournament, the French team, turned out to be stronger (45:30).
Earlier in the 2023/24 season, Ukrainian women twice finished in the top 5 at the World Cup in saber team competitions. And here is the first medal.
