The championship of the men’s volleyball Superleague starts on September 22

Eight teams will play three rounds and a playoff

The championship of Ukraine in the men’s Superleague in volleyball will begin on September 22. This was announced by the President of the newly created Professional Volleyball League, Vladimir Dubinsky, following a meeting with the head coaches of the teams.

Eight clubs will take part in the tournament: Prometheus (Dnipro), VK MHP-Vinnitsa (Trostyanets), Team Poltava region VK Reshetylivka, VK Barkom-Kazhany (Lviv), Epicenter-Podolyan (Horodok), Zhytichi-Polesye University (Zhytomyr), Law Academy (Kharkiv), Security Police-ZUNU-Dynamo (Ternopil).

Teams will be divided into two groups and will play three rounds. The main round of the competition will end on April 1, after which the playoff stage will be held.

The teams also offered to play the Super Bowl on a relegation system instead of an all-star match. The tournament was scheduled for the period from 18 to 23 December.

In May, Prometheus and Epicenter-Podolyan were recognized as champions of Ukraine – in the women’s and men’s championships, respectively. The season in the Super League could not be completed due to the full-scale Russian invasion.

At the same time, Prometheus will spend the next season in the Czech championship. Epicenter-Podoliany and Barkom-Kazhany plan to compete in the Polish championship.
