Kolasinac, Pjanic and Dzeko are in the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team for the Euro 2024 playoff match against Ukraine

The application includes four players from top leagues, the ex-goalkeeper of Zarya and several representatives of the Russian championship

Team coach Bosnia and Herzegovina Savo Milosevic decided on the lineup for the qualifying playoff match European Championship 2024 against Ukraine.

There are 27 football players in the application. All the leaders of the national team are in place – defender Sead Kolasinac (Atalanta), midfielder Miralem Pjanic (Sharjah, UAE) and forward Edin Dzeko (Fenerbahce), the national team record holder for matches played (133) and goals scored (65).

We also note the presence of football players from top championships – defender Anel Ahmedhodzic (Sheffield United), midfielder Denis Husseinbasic (Cologne) and forward Ermedin Demirovic (Augsburg), who has 14 goals and 8 assists in the current Bundesliga season. The squad also includes Rade Krunic, who started the season in Milan, but was then loaned to Fenerbahce.

Worthy of mention is Nikola Vasil, the former goalkeeper of Lugansk Zorya, who currently plays for St. Pauli. At the same time, Milosevic, a former Rubin player, called up four football players from the Russian championship.

Let us remind you that on March 4, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine published a list of the official delegation that will go to the match with Bosnia and Herzegovina. It included 32 players (six of them on the reserve list). Later, the Ukrainian Football Association clarified that this composition is preliminary, and the official application will be published in the coming days.

In the semi-finals of the Euro 2024 qualifying playoffs, Ukraine and Bosnia and Herzegovina will play on March 21 in the city of Zenica, at the Bilino Pole stadium. If successful, Sergei Rebrov’s team will meet with the winner of the Israel-Iceland confrontation. The final match will be a “home” match for the blue-yellows and will take place on March 26 in Wroclaw, Poland.

Euro 2024 will take place in Germany from June 14 to July 14, 2024. The matches of the European Championship will be held in arenas in Berlin, Cologne, Dortmund, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Leipzig, Munich and Stuttgart.
