The WFTU provides support to Olympic medalist Volkov, who suffers from a serious illness

The All-Russian Swimming Federation (ARSF) provides financial support to Olympic swimming medalist Dmitry Volkov, the president of the All-Russian Swimming Federation told . Vladimir Salnikov .

On Tuesday, Volkov, 57, told that he was suffering from a serious illness.

“Dmitry asked for help and, of course, the All-Russian Swimming Federation helps him financially,” Salnikov told .

Volkov won relay silver at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona and became a two-time bronze medalist at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul. He also won two silver and bronze medals at the World Championships and four victories at the European Championships.
