Belarusian swimmer Alina Zmushko admitted she was delighted to see so many spectators in the stands during the Friendship Games, she said there were always more fans in Russia than when she started at home.
Zmushko became third in the 50m breaststroke at the Friendship Games, which started in Kazan. The tournament’s organizing committee previously reported that 90% of tickets were sold on the first day of the competition.
“I’m a little upset for a few seconds, I was hoping to swim faster, but not bad for the start of the competition,” Zmushko told reporters. — I like performing in Kazan. It’s very beautiful and the place is good, and the swimming pool is a big area. I had some good performances here and a personal best.
