Belarusian swimmer Alina Zmushko admitted she was delighted to see so many spectators in the stands during the Friendship Games, she said there were always more fans in Russia than when she started at home.

Zmushko became third in the 50m breaststroke at the Friendship Games, which started in Kazan. The tournament’s organizing committee previously reported that 90% of tickets were sold on the first day of the competition.

– Here in Russia, there are always a lot of spectators, it’s very good. Gives strength, fighting spirit. We have a slightly smaller stand in Belarus.
