In 2018, in Pyeongchang, the team was called “Olympic Athletes from Russia”. In 2021 in Tokyo and in 2022 in Beijing, Russians performed under the ROC flag. The honored coach of the USSR Tatyana Tarasova spoke about this.
– I cannot say that the Olympic Games have lost their usefulness. It is always the main competition in the life of every athlete. But the absence of the Russian flag at the last Olympic Games is a shame. Now they don’t even want to let anyone in,” Tarasova said, as quoted by RB Sport.
