Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva admitted that the World Youth Festival surprised her with its scale.
The World Youth Festival takes place from March 1 to 7 in the federal territory of Sirius.
“I’m just thrilled with what’s happening at the World Youth Festival right now – I haven’t seen such an incredible scale in a long time!” The festival itself has become a real platform for creating links between young people. On January 29, the Court of Arbitration for Sport disqualified Valieva for violating anti-doping rules, satisfying the World Anti-Doping Agency’s request for a four-year sentence. The suspension begins on December 25, 2021. The figure skater’s results posted from that point on have been canceled.
