Christian Shevchenko, Gusev and Tsukanov have been called up to the Ukraine U-19 training camp for the elite round matches of the 2024 EURO qualifying round

The composition has become known Ukrainian national team U-19 for the elite round qualifying matches European Youth Championship 2024.

Blue-yellow coach Dmitry Mikhailenko called up 20 players. Among them is the son of UAF President Andrei Shevchenko Christian, who recently received a Ukrainian passport, as well as Dynamo defender Alexey Gusev and Shakhtar midfielder Viktor Tsukanov.

Goalkeepers: Vladislav Kravets (Shakhtar), Vladislav Krapivtsov (Dnepr-1).

Defenders: Alexey Gusev, Taras Mikhavko, Nazar Balaba (all Dynamo), Anton Drozd, Nikolay Ogarkov (both Shakhtar), Ivan Ermachkov (Wuppertal, Germany), Maxim Stryukov (Hannover 96, Germany).

Midfielders: Daniil Vashchenko (Alexandria), Andrei Matkevich (Dynamo), Viktor Tsukanov (Shakhtar), Maxim Melnichenko (Dnepr-1), Gennady Sinchuk (Metalist), Daniil Krevsun (Borussia D, Germany).

Forwards: Matvey Ponomarenko (Dynamo), Ramik Gadzhiev (Dnepr-1), Mikhail Dubrovny (Ghent, Belgium), Timur Tuterov (Sunderland, England), Christian Shevchenko (Watford, England).

The Ukrainian U-19 national team will play in the elite round of qualifying for the 2024 European Youth Championship with teams from Switzerland, North Macedonia and Latvia. The matches of this qualifying stage will take place from 18 to 26 March 2024. Only the winner of the quartet will receive a ticket to the final part of the continental championship.

All group matches will start at 15:00. On March 20, Mikhailenko’s team will play against North Macedonia, and on March 23 – against Latvia. Ukraine U-19 will complete the group stage with a game against Switzerland.

Euro 2024 U-19 will take place in Northern Ireland from 15 to 28 July 2024. The continental championship will simultaneously serve as a UEFA selection for the 2025 World Cup (U-20).
