Munich confidently reached the quarter finals of the Champions League
Head coach Bayern’s Thomas Tuchel commented on the victory in the return match of the 1/8 finals of the Champions League with Lazio (3:0).
“It was a very solid, very disciplined performance. We didn’t lose our heads,” says Tuchel.
“We played a little bolder and had better rhythm. And then of course things got better with a goal and then a second goal at a very perfect time. It gave us confidence and we deserved to win.”
Bayern lost to Lazio in the first match – 0:1. However, the return game in Munich brought Tuchel’s team a confident triumph (3:0) and access to the quarterfinals of the tournament.
In addition to Bayern, PSG will also play in the quarter finals of the Champions League. On Wednesday, March 6, the winners of the Manchester City – Copenhagen and Real Madrid – RB Leipzig confrontations will be determined.
