The son of Andrei Shevchenko received his debut call to the Ukrainian youth team
Watford youth forward Christian Shevchenko, the son of the head of the UAF Andrey Shevchenko, commented on his debut call to the ranks of the Ukrainian U-19 national team.
“Of course, being called up to the Ukrainian national team is always an honor. I look forward to future opportunities and looking forward to meeting my teammates and coaches.”
“I will do my best to help the team in the upcoming matches and bring joy to our country. Glory to Ukraine!”
Christian was born in London in 2006. From an early age he studied at the Chelsea academy, but the Blues did not enter into an agreement with him, after which the player moved to Watford. The center forward played for the U-18 team. In December, 17-year-old Christian made his debut for Watford U-21.
A few days ago, Shevchenko Jr. received a Ukrainian passport. The coach of the Ukrainian youth team, Dmitry Mikhailenko, called Christian to the ranks of the national team.
