Konanykhina will miss the Eurasian Cup in diving

European champion Anna Konanykhina will miss the Eurasian Cup, the press service of the Russian Federation for diving told .

The competition will take place from March 15 to 17 in Yekaterinburg. Earlier, Weed Russia head coach Svetlana Moiseeva said that the injured Konanykhina’s participation in this tournament remains in question.

“Konanykhina will not perform in Yekaterinburg,” the Federation press service reported.

In total, more than 80 athletes from eight countries plan to participate in these competitions: Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Venezuela, Cuba, Ecuador, Uzbekistan and Serbia. Nine sets of awards will be awarded during the tournament.

— Last year, more than 60 athletes from eight countries came to Saratov. I am very happy that we manage to increase the number of participants from year to year. This year we are expecting representatives from Serbia, they are part of our Union of Friendship and Mutual Assistance. The 3rd Cup is also important because it will be held in one of the best water sports palaces not only in our country, but also in the world,” said the press service of the President of the Russian Diving Federation Stanislav Druzhinin.
