The Argentinean, who previously played for Rukh, moved to the Odessa club as a free agent
Chernomorets officially signed a contract with the midfielder Fabricio Alvarengoy. The Argentine joined the ranks of the Mariners as a free agent.
Alvarenga is 28 years old and a graduate of Velez Sarsfield. At home, he played for the second team of his native club and Deportivo Moron, and was also listed in the Brazilian Curitiba.
Since 2020, the winger has been trying to conquer the Ukrainian Premier League: first with Olimpik (2020/21), then with Rukha. In total, he played 43 matches at the UPL level and scored two goals.
This season, Alvarenga played two full cup matches for Rukh, only appearing for 20 minutes in one of the championship matches. In the winter, the Argentinean was put up for transfer – according to Lviv head coach Vitaly Ponomarev, he “did not fit into the tactical scheme” of the team.
Chernomorets is in ninth place in the standings with 23 points. In the next round, Roman Grigorchuk’s team will host Vorskla on March 9.
