Flamengo made progress on a potential midfielder transfer Maicona from Donetsk Shakhtar. The 26-year-old midfielder himself made a choice in favor of the Red-Blacks.
Journalist Guilherme Silva reports that Flamengo has already formalized an official offer to the Donetsk club. Wherein Corinthiansfor whom Maicon has played for the last two years and who recently extended his rental agreement with him, has an 11-month debt to the midfielder for image rights.
Earlier it was reported that Flamengo had already contacted Shakhtar and made an offer for a full transfer of the player. The estimated cost of the football player is 5 million euros.
Maicon’s contract with Shakhtar runs until December 2025. Last year, the midfielder played 58 matches for Corinthians, scoring 3 goals and providing 4 assists.
Corinthians finished 13th in the Brazilian Serie A. Flamengo finished in fourth place. The new season of the Brazilian Championship starts in April.
