The midfielder has not played since October due to a knee injury
Midfielder Dnepra-1 Igor Kogut said that he returned to individual training after a knee injury, which he received in October.
“I was already looking forward to returning to base. Five months have passed since the injury, four months after the operation. Without training with the team all this time it was difficult, but we had to get through it. Now I’m starting to train individually, I’ve been doing running work for two days now. I will try to return to the field as soon as possible and help the team.”
“After the operation I went to Kyiv for recovery at a rehabilitation center. Many thanks to all the specialists there. At first there were the simplest banal exercises: gradually bending and unbending the leg – and then there was work to strengthen the muscles and ligaments. I had to study 4-5 hours a day. At first it was a little hard, but then you get used to it.”
“Four months have passed since the operation. In general, this is a very individual question regarding timing, depending on the body. I think I will need about 1.5 more months, maybe a little less. I will try to return as soon as possible – we’ll see how my health allows.”
27-year-old Kogut was injured in the first half of the match with Metalist 1925 (1:0) in early October. In total, the midfielder managed to play in 11 matches for the club in all tournaments this season and scored one goal.
Dnepr-1 leads the UPL with 38 points. In the next match, Yuri Maximov’s team will host Rukh on March 8.
