Antyukh and Bugai scored for Koval’s team
Zarya opened the 20th round Ukrainian Premier League a confident home win over Let’s go – 2:0.
In the match, which took place at the Kiev Left Bank stadium, the Lugansk team quickly opened the scoring – Denis Antyukh scored after a pass from Vyacheslav Churko. Before the break, Eduardo Guerrero doubled the lead, but the goal was disallowed for offside.
Yuri Koval’s team looked stronger after the break. The final score was eventually set by substitute Vladislav Bugai, who was led in by Guerrero with a cool pass.
Minaj showed activity, came close to scoring a prestige goal a couple of times, but failed to break the score. Zarya could have scored a rout more than once, but its players also missed their chances.
The victory allowed Zara to score 19 points and rise to 11th place. Minaj, who lost for the first time in 2024, is at the bottom of the standings.
In the next round, both teams will play away against the giants: Lugansk against Dynamo, and Transcarpathians against Shakhtar.
