The miner will sue Vyunnik and Lechia

The Donetsk club claims that the contract with Bogdan is valid until the summer of 2025, and the footballer himself announced the unilateral termination of the contract

Miner officially announced that he would appeal to the “competent authorities” with a claim against the attacker Bogdan Vyunnik and his new club – Lechia Gdansk.

The Ukrainian club claims that the football player did not show up at the club’s premises during the winter break and then “reported the unilateral termination” of the contract, which is valid until June 30, 2025.

Yesterday, March 6, Lechia officially announced the signing of a contract with the 21-year-old Ukrainian until the summer of 2028. The president of the Polish club, Paolo Urfer, said that Lechia initially wanted to rent Vyunnik, but later it became known about the striker’s conflict with the Miners. Ultimately, the player allegedly became a free agent.

Let us remind you that in early February it became known that Bogdan did not come to the team’s training camp in Turkey. It was reported that the forward refused to train with Shakhtar and wanted to break his contract. The player tried to find a new team on his own and did not respond to calls from the Gornyaki management to come to the club’s location.

Subsequently, Vyunnik himself confirmed that he was in Switzerland and planned to move to Lechia. According to Bogdan, he was “initially told not to come to the training camp and to look for a new team.”

According to Shakhtar’s just announced position, “the club has repeatedly provided the football player with the opportunity to return to the club’s location, but the football player has rejected these offers.”

Vyunnik has been part of the Miners’ structure since 2017. On loan he played for Mariupol, Swiss Zurich, and Austrian Grazer AK. As a member of the Ukrainian youth team, he reached the semi-finals of Euro 2023.

This season, the forward played six matches for Shakhtar, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
