President of the Russian Ski Federation (RFSR) Elena Vyalbe reported that two skiers were seriously injured when they collapsed during a 10km race as part of the Winter Student Spartakiad.
The competition takes place in the village of Estosadok (Krasnodar region). Earlier, the Radioskis Telegram channel reported that there was a crash in the first lap of the race. As noted on the FLGR website, 14 athletes did not finish.
— There are two injuries: one girl suffered head trauma, the other broke her arm. Fortunately, there is nothing else. Now the girls are in the hospital,” Vyalbe told .
