The request will be examined on March 19 in Lausanne. The discussion will also concern Belarusian athletes.
“There is no official decision yet,” said IOC member Olivier Bequers-Viejean, responding to a question about the participation of Russians and Belarusians, TASS reports.
The 2024 Olympic Games in Paris are scheduled to open on July 26.
Previously, the IOC allowed athletes from Russia and Belarus to participate in the Games in neutral status, but subject to a number of restrictions.
