There have been changes to the program for the Student Spartakiad finals, as reported on the website of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (FLGR).
The men’s mass start has been replaced by a 15km time trial and will take place on March 9.
On Friday, during the women’s general start race in the village of Estosadok, several skiers were injured following a collapse. The president of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (FLGR), Elena Vyalbe, told that two athletes were in hospital: one suffered a head injury, the second had a broken arm. In total, 14 skiers failed to finish on the Laura slope.
Later, the investigative department of the Adler district of the city of Sochi of the Russian Investigative Committee organized an investigation into this fact.
