Today, March 8, Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) created expert groupthe purpose of which is to ensure equal rights and opportunities for women and men (gender equality) in football.
In particular, we are talking about equal access for women to play football as professional athletes, as well as equal rights in choosing football professions – manager of a football organization, coach, referee, doctor, etc.
The group’s primary tasks include:
- updating the problem and working with gender stereotypes;
- responding to incidents of sexism and gender-based violence;
- international cooperation to attract successful experience.
Elizaveta Stepanyuk, head of the service for interaction with UEFA and FIFA, was appointed coordinator of the expert group. The group also included: first vice-president of the UAF Pavel Boychuk, secretary general of the organization Igor Grishchenko, as well as heads and managers of key departments and areas of work of the UAF.
