Cross-country skiing World Cup winner Andrey Melnichenko became the winner of the Sakhalin ski marathon over a distance of 50 km freestyle.
Melnichenko showed a result of 2 hours 23 minutes 38.3 seconds. The world champion and two-time Olympic bronze medalist in biathlon took second place Alexander Loginov (lag – 6.3 seconds), bronze went to Dmitry Klyukvin (+10 seconds).
In the women’s part of the competition, Natalya Babchina won (2:41.15.0), Polina Seronosova (+1 minute 52.1 seconds) finished second and Anastasia Vlasova (+5.34.4) completed the top three.
