One of the student skiers injured at Spartakiad remains under medical supervision and was not seriously injured, technical delegate of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (FLGR) Igor Belomestnov told .
On Friday, during the women’s general start race in the village of Estosadok, several skiers were injured following a collapse. The president of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (FLGR), Elena Vyalbe, told that two athletes were in hospital: one suffered a head injury, the second had a broken arm. In total, 14 skiers failed to finish on the Laura slope.
“All the injured athletes were at the hotel yesterday. Only one girl remained under observation (in the hospital). She’s fine, nothing serious. As she fell, she crushed her glasses with her face, causing a cut. His mother is here, everything is fine,” Belomestnov told .
The investigative department of the Adler region organized an investigation into the incident. The progress and results of the inspection were monitored by the investigation department.
