The promoter called for a rematch in the fight for the title of absolute world champion to be abandoned
Promoter Eddie Hearn expressed confidence that his ward Anthony Joshua knocks out WBC world champion Tyson Fury. Hearn called for a fight between Tyson and AJ immediately if the “Gypsy King” wins over the WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO title holder Alexander Usik.
“Forget about the conditions for revenge. The Fury-Usyk fight will take place on May 18. Please let Tyson beat Usyk. If Joshua gets into the ring wearing this form, he will knock out Fury,” the promoter said.
Hearn previously named Joshua the No. 1 heavyweight boxer in the world. Tyson Fury responded to these words that the real number one will be determined in his fight with Usik.
Joshua defeated former UFC world champion Francis Ngannou. Already in the first round, the Briton shocked the Cameroonian with a powerful blow, knocking him down. Francis managed to get up and continue the fight, but in the second round Joshua carried out another great attack and knocked out his opponent.
Fury and Usyk will fight for the title of absolute world champion on May 18 in Riyadh. WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman announced that an agreement had been reached between the boxers for a re-fight.
