The acting prosecutor of the Adler district of Sochi, Inver Darmilov, said that as a result of a collapse during the race as part of the Student Spartakiad in the Krasnodar Territory, 17 people were transported to the ‘hospital.
On Friday, during a race on the track of the Laura ski and biathlon complex, several minor skiers suffered injuries of varying severity as a result of a collapse. Skier Arina Maksimova was among 14 athletes who failed to finish and suffered multiple arm fractures.

The injured received medical treatment, 13 athletes received outpatient treatment and one was hospitalized. There is no threat to the life and health of the participants of the race, an inspection was organized by the authorized investigative body and the prosecutor’s office,” Darmilov was quoted as saying by the press service of the office of the prosecutor of the Krasnodar region.
