Ukrainian won the competition on parallel bars
Ukrainian gymnast Ilya Kovtun won gold at the stage World Cup in artistic gymnastics Baku.
Ilya took first place in the parallel bars competition with a score of 14.900 points. The Chinese Zou Jinyuan scored the same amount, losing to the Ukrainian in additional indicators. Third place went to Angel Barajas from Colombia.
Also competed in the parallel bars finals Oleg Vernyaev. The Ukrainian took fifth place with a score of 14.566 points.
Let us remember that in February Kovtun won gold medals at the World Cup stages in Cottbus and Cairo. Vernyaev took second place both times in the same competitions.
Let us recall that Kovtun, Vernyaev and Chepurny helped the Ukrainian national team win a team license for the 2024 Olympics. The Ukrainian team will be able to enter five gymnasts at the 2024 Olympics, who will be able to compete on any apparatus at the discretion of the coaching staff.
