Russian cyclist Alexander Vlasov competing for the BORA-hansgrohe team, took fifth place in the general classification of the Paris-Nice stage race.
On Sunday, Vlasov finished third in the eighth stage of the stage race, losing 50 seconds to the winner, Belgian Remco Evenepoel (Soudal Quick-Step). The second was the American Matteo Jorgenson (Team Visma).
Jorgenson finished first overall with a total time of 27 hours 50 minutes 23 seconds. Evenepoel took second place (+30 seconds), the leading trio being completed by the American Brandon McNulty (UAE Team Emirates; +1 minute 47 seconds). Vlasov’s gap was 2 minutes 57 seconds.
