Olympic champion Norman won 2022 World Cup gold in the United States, McLaughlin won with a new world record

American track and field athlete Michel Normand won the 400 meter race at the World Championships in Athletics, held in Eugene, USA. His result was 44.29 seconds.

Second place was taken by the representative of Grenada Kirani James – 44.48 seconds. Briton Matthew Hudson-Smith closed the top three – 44.66 seconds.

Michael Norman is the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics champion in the 4x400m relay.

American Sydney McLaughlin won the women’s 400m hurdles with a new world record of 50.68. The top three also included Dutch Femke Bol (52.27) and American Delilah Muhammad (53.13).

Australia’s Kelsey-Lee Barber won gold in the javelin throw, while Shona Miller-Uibo of the Bahamas became world champion in the 400m.
