French biathlete Lou Jeanmonneau won the pursuit race on the eighth stage Biathlon World Cup 2023/24which takes place in the American Soldier Hollow.
Lu emerged victorious in a heated rivalry with Lisa Vittozzi from Italy. Both athletes made only one mistake, but the Frenchwoman eventually managed to beat her competitor by 0.4 seconds. Third was another Frenchwoman, Julia Simon.
Ukrainian Julia Jima, which occupied 33rd position at the end of the sprint, managed to win back 11 positions during the race. Yulia could have been higher, but she made a mistake at the last shooting range. The result is 22nd place. Kristina Dmitrenkowho received the right to participate in the pursuit, did not go to the start.
