Former world champion Andre Ward shares his opinion about the rematch between WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight title holders Alexander Usik and Anthony Joshua.
According to the boxer, the new British coach Robert Garcia should not change the style of his ward.
“Joshua’s physique and size will not change. He won an Olympic gold medal and became a world heavyweight champion when he fought the way he fought. Now is not the time to change. It will be a rework, an overhaul. It’s too late. for that.”

Ward says Anthony Joshua must find a way to play to his strengths in a rematch.
“As George Foreman and past heavyweight coaches said, you have to train and fight like a big guy. Joshua has to find a way to use his size to his advantage. He shouldn’t fend with Usyk. He can’t win that way ,” Ward said. on the air of Max On Boxing.
It will be remembered that the rematch between Usyk and Joshua will take place on August 20 in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) at the Super Dome arena.
In the first match, which took place in September 2021, the Ukrainian defeated the Briton by unanimous decision, winning the championship belt.
