Zuev won the 200m backstroke at the Friendship Games

Russian swimmer Nikolai Zuev won the 200m backstroke at the first stage of the Friendship Games in Kazan.

Zuev won with a score of 1 minute, 57.44 seconds. Russian Alexei Tkachev won silver (1:57.86), bronze was won by another Russian representative, Dmitry Savenko (1:58.10).

Russian Andrey Nikolaev won the 50m breaststroke with a time of 26.86 seconds. Belarusian Ilya Shimanovich came second (27.04), third place was shared by Russians Kirill Prigoda and Danil Semyaninov (both – 27.20).

In the 4 × 200 meter freestyle relay, the victory was won by the Moscow-1 team (897 points), represented by Vladislav Grinev, Mikhail Dovgalyuk, Daniil Shatalov and Alexander Egorov. Silver for the team St. Petersburg-1 (892), bronze was won by St. Petersburg-2 (819)

In the women’s 200-meter freestyle competition, the entire pedestal was occupied by representatives of Russia. Gold was won by Anastasia Guzhenkova, who covered the distance in 1 minute 58.42 seconds. Valeria Salamatina (1:58.44) was second, Anna Egorova (1:59.16) won bronze.

Russian Maria Kameneva became first in the 50-meter backstroke discipline with a score of 27.65 seconds. Second place was taken by Anastasia Shkurdai (28.14) from Belarus, third was the representative of Russia Elizaveta Agapitova (28.81).

Arina Surkova of Russia won the 100m butterfly with a time of 57.58 seconds. She was six hundredths ahead of her compatriot Svetlana Chimrova (57.64), and third place was taken by Belarusian Anastasia Kulyashova (57.80).

In the 4 × 100 meter medley relay, the St. Petersburg-1 team won (871 points) consisting of Vlada Eggi, Evgenia Chikunova, Svetlana Chimrova and Daria Ustinova. The second place was taken by the team from the Novosibirsk region (862), the team from Moscow-1 (831) became the third.
