figure skating coach Maxim Trankov told the plans for the season, as well as the date for the distribution of athletes for competitions in Russia.

Trankov has been training his former pair skating rivals Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov since 2018. Trankov now participates in VK Fest, which takes place in St. Petersburg. The other two cities hosting the festival are Moscow and Sirius (Sochi).

– I was invited to this festival almost every year, but it didn’t work out. Now it was agreed that Petersburg and Sasha Trusova – of course, did not hesitate for a second!

What are your students’ plans for the season?

— We are preparing for the stages of the Russian series. The distribution for them will take place after the September rentals in Moscow. Now the guys take part in Ilya Averbukh’s show, at the same time they train a little. Alexey Tikhonov, who helped us all last season, is also now with the guys from Sochi. They are under guardianship.

– Do you plan to have training camps after Novogorsk?

– I think not. When I return from Sochi on August 8, if I’m not mistaken, we will start training.

Does Marina Zueva still participate remotely in this process?

She helps me personally. We often call each other, I ask for advice. We have been in contact with her for the past three years,” Trankov told .

Tarasova and Morozov won silver in pair skating at the 2022 Olympics in Beijing, and Trankov, who works with them, was awarded the title of Honored Coach of Russia.
