Tatarstan Sports Minister Vladimir Leonov told that the school Alina Zagitova figure skating in Kazan will be a more local project than the ice palace of coaches Eteri Tutberidze in Moscow.
In November 2023, the First Deputy Minister of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan Khalil Shaikhutdinov announced that the construction of the Zagitova School in Kazan is planned to begin in 2024.

We are now finalizing the technical specifications, if nothing hinders the start of the project this year, we will build quickly. If there is a project, the price will be clear, the question of financing remains open. No investors are yet considered.

Zagitova is the 2018 Olympic women’s single skating champion, world and European champion.
The Ice Palace, which houses the Eteri Tutberidze Figure Skating Center, was put into operation in September 2023 in the southwest of Moscow, in the Yasenevo district.
